Hot Start Bad Idle

Can Anyone Give Me A Complete List Of Things That Cause Hot Start And Bad Idle & Solutions . It Seems When I Drive For Awhile My Rpms Go Crazy High Around 2k Even Up To 3k And Just Sets There I'm Just Really Worried About This.
Any Help Would Be Great .

Could There Be Anything Else I Remember Seeing A Thread Of A List Of Thing That Could Cause Bad Idle
