Hoping to top 100mph Bandimere

I was wondering if it was at all possible, for me to hit the 100mph club this year with the new set up on the 01 spyder gt.

Old setup
Stock air intake
50 shot Nitrous Express wet
stock clutch stock flywheel

i was pullign a 16.999 at 89mph on this setup


New setup

4 to 3 inch air intake
75 shot Nitrous Express wet
Act 6 pluck racing clutch\
fidanza lightweight aluminum flywheel

If not then what should i do to help me get there?
your help is greatly appreciated

Unfortunately I don't think that you are going to get a whole lot of help here, it isn't that members here don't want to help you it is that we are a community that largely is concerned with the 1g and 2g eclipses/talons/lasers and anything else with a 4g63t. We just don't have a whole lot of knowledge about the 3g Eclipses because with the exception of badges, there is literally almost nothing in common between our cars.

That said, getting you to 100mph shouldn't be too hard, have you looked into opening up your exhaust some? How about removing weight? The spare tire, back seat, passenger seat, and a whole lot of other things can be removed to get you to the end of the track a little quicker. What sort of wheels/tires are you running?

Keep in mind that a spyder will quickly be thrown off the track if you go too fast so check you track rules before making goals that are too extreme unless you are willing to install a cage.

Your GT has a LONG way to go to top 100mph in the 1320, my friend. More nitrous isn't what's going to get you there.

Well you said it yourself that you're not good at launching the car, so the first bit of advice that I could give you is get better at driving your car before you start worrying about breaking barriers. You could spend a ton of money with go fast parts but its not gonna help if you can't drive the car right.

Took off the muffler yes i know ti's a ricer move but it sounds better if u want video iv got one, no room for the spar tire i have no stereo or wont be putting one in. I got a 4 point harness, in it its set for drag and street mostly, I have been getting my reaction times in on stop lights. Im going to take it to the dyoned when i get it back and broken in, that should tell em where i set. Im running all session tires on it i would be if i could find some one to do ti for cheap a cage that is i would love to to put one in for cheap cuss right now my budget is a litttle fried form tickets

Well, your R/T's play no part in your E/T's. Take your time at the light, get to the proper rpm, there's not a huge rush. If you take your time setting up, your bound to get better 60' times. And you still have a ways to go from 100mph, practice driving more and THEN see what mods you need, after you perfect your skills.

K i understand that i belvie my car lunches best at 2,500 rpms if i remember right. That's why when i get it back im going to cruising with it and get use to the new clutch and flywheel combo.

STOCK 3G GT's should be in the mid 15's or so
check dragtimes.com
there must be a problem on yours

with the mods u listed and 2.5" exhaust
100mph trap speeds are doable

If you are on a V6, put a 100shot on it. Just make sure that you put in 1 step colder plugs, and run race gas at the same time. Your car is also peg leg, so drop some pressure out of those tires or get soem slicks. My previous car as a 3g with a 150shot direct port kit on it. The fastest I ever got was a mid 14 at like 95. It has been a few years so I dont remember all of the specs. But the car ran great. If you are on a wet single fogger system, run a 100shot. With Race gas. Just throw some c16 in the tank with your pump gas, and you are good to go.

Next batch of advice.

Dont spend very much money on that car. It will never be fast unless you drop a whole shit ton of money into it. Buy a little beater 1st gen and turbo the shit out of it.
