hey, for some stupid reason my cable attached to my hood latch has come loose and now my hood is stuck closed. is there any way to get it back open without extreme measures? I've tried from every angle i can think of and it is next to impossible.. I'm so frustrated!!!:banghead:

Yeah just take the plastic piece off under the drivers side and you should be able to open it up if the cable is not broken.

the plastic pieces are already off. the cable end somehow popped off the hood latch assembly so doing anything with the cord is useless. I have to pull the main latch by hand somehow. What I wanted to do is try and go in from the bottom but there is a big plastic wind duct thing in the way.

how do you know the cable popped off? i thought i had the same problem about a year ago, i went to pop the hood and... nothing. id have to have someone in the car actually holding out the hood lever and id have to pull up on the hood itself. i came to find out that one of my buddies had messed with the rubber bumpers and there wasn't any "up" pressure on the hood.

:dsm:

alright guys thanks for the input but after about 30 minutes of sticking my hand up the front duct by the radiator (kinda like trying to steal a soda from a soda machine) i managed to play around with the end and then yank the cord and yay! i got it! now i just have to put all my fenders on and my car is complete! thanks for the info.
