sweet, i wish it was a turbo but i dont have that kind of money i just need it to be running right and one color, 4 weeks im guess'n.....

I wish you lived in Toronto. You could come by for an hour, pay me minimal amounts of money for parts a bit of labor and I'd have that bi*** running like new.

For a new home mechanic, you could fix that stuff all in a days work. It's simply simple. Just read a bit on it and then try to do it.

Heres a vacuum diagram. Follow it and don't question it. Just do it.

I'm sorry, but i'm gonna uestion it. Thats all the vacs you need. Just 3 and I can get rid of all the others and block them off. This is on a turbo car just to be sure

Thanks Derek

The information in that pic comes from www.taboospeedshop.com , it's for doing an EGR blockoff. I did it to my car to eliminate vacuum wires and clean up my engine bay a little.

If you are planning on doing this, you can get the part from www.dejontool.com or www.slowboyracing.com

Yes, my apologies. I forgot to mention it was my edited version from Taboospeedshop.com. Secondly, for a turbo car, you'd need vacuum lines for your BOV to function and turbo to have some sort of boost control. Other then that, that is all you really need.

You can make a blockoff plate out of scrap steel. Total cost would be around $0 if you know the right people.

So basically you remove the function of these items:

*Evaporative Emissions Canister
*Purge Control Valve
*Evap. Emiss. Purge Solenoid
*Thermal vaccum valve
*EGR Valve
*Turbo Waste Gate Solenoid

Besides removing and re-routing the vaccuum lines and plugging, what else do you do (block off?)? I would think that you need to do this?

*Remove and Block Off EGR
*Install MBC and Boost Gauge
*Remove Waste Gate Solenoid
*Remove TVV
*Evap. Emiss. Purge Solenoid
*Purge Control Valve

Please clarify exactly what you need to remove, block off, install. Like make an ordered list of what you do.

Correct.

Evap emissions canister to me, is dead weight. It helps burn off fuel fumes running from your fuel rail back to your tank. It dumps it back into your intake.

Purge control valve can be disconnected as it controls the amount of fuel fumes being pulled into the evap canister... which I don't have to begin with.

Fuel pressure selnoid helps raise the fuel pressure in the rail to help start your car in the cold weather. So instead of 3 cranks, it'll take you 2. Big deal.

EGR valve can be blocked off with a sheet of cut metal and two shorter bolts.

Thermal vacuum isn't needed either. Waste of time. Unless you like the cooling it does to your throttle body or the heat it gives in the cold, get rid of it. Use a bolt with the same thread size and some sealant in it's place.

Turbo wastegate solenoid is also a waste. A simpe vacuum line from the intake manifold to the wastegate is sufficient. It'll build up 11psi of pressure in the wastegate and the arm will open the flapper. Who needs a solenoid?

Evap. Emiss. Purge Solenoid is something which I know nothing about. I know I've run 2 cars without it for 2 years. My idle is fine, I passed emissions, my bay is cleaner and I have no issues regarding it's absense.

Yes that's it, and it looks like it's in your hand to me...LOL. j/k bro. If you get an mbc you can do away with that silly thing.
