Ok ive searched and havent found anything really about what im about to ask. So far searching ive found out that all 1g bov leak at idle. well i can hear a hissing if i put my ear to the top of the BOV. now if i move the throttle with my hand and keep my ear to the bov i can hear a click. and the hissing stops. that would be the diaphram sealing stopping the leak or is it something else. Im slowy trying to find a mystery either vac leak or broken item that uses vac to work. yea i know boost leak test but im waiting for my tester if you can call it that to be shipped. in the mean time im trying to find out why my car wont idle when hot and only sometimes. also i kno its a DSM. But when its cold start it will idle fine. im i drive a mile it will idle fine, if i drive for a few miles sometime it will idle fine for about a 60seconds but then the vac gauge*stock one* its not accurate but its all i have right now, it starts to bob around. -7 to around -3 then past -7 then back to -7 and the idle will flutter between 300-900 and the car seems like it missfires and it will stall sometimes or it will save it self or ill save it with a quick tap of the gas and then the light will turn green and ill go for another block stop and it wont do it. then ill go and it will just stall at the next light and no idle unless i give it gas. no much just enough for like 1100 rpms. and sometimes all together it will just idle fine. or if im home and letting the car cool down it will idle fine then start to freak out then ill just hold the gas at 1200rpms for a minute then let it idle its fine for 10+minutes while i poke around the engine bay then shut it off. I'm stumped, by dsm buddy is stumped i can only assume i have a nasty vac leak somewhere that magicly fixes itself or the bov is the cause or the EGR is sticking open or w/e, i took the silencer out of the maf and have a k&N straped to the maf no can at all. thats it, the car besides that is stock. i just got it. Newbie question or w/e you want to call it. this is my frist dsm and i work in circles with this damn thing. i cam from vw's i thought they were problem prone and a pain in the ass to work on. i do love this car thou. so any help would be greatly valued and please save the try searching and other crap don't waste your time or mine.
