you could get it for $15 at autozone but it is going to sound weird(unlike the oem),installing it is easy it is or should be in back of the driver side headlight,(or at least it was in my 97 rs)all you need is like 10min to fix it.

My horn also died... but I went and got one from the dealer.. i think it $25.oo... It was really easy to install since it was just like the stock one..

, mine died too, and I bought the Autozone one also. Talk about a B**ch horn. This thing cracks me up. It sounds so weak and powerless, but, hell it works, and how often do you actually use the damn thing? For $15, you cant beat it.

I bet there are tons of you out there that has the same problem. However, I need to fix this in order to pass emissions. My horn doesnt work. All my friends with DSM has the same problem. What is usually the problem? Any ideas?

Replace the horn...

On a 2g, it's under the front bumper, I think on the passenger side. Just unhook the wire, unbolt the horn, bolt on the new horn, and plug in the wire.

That's assuming it's the horn itself that's messed up (which was the case with me), and not some electrical problem.

If you've got a 1g, i dunno where the horn's at..

psst, driver side Or the problem could be like mine and the horn is buried some where in your steering wheel. Mines a pain in the ass to find and sound off. Also check your fuse if you haven't already.

Check for 12v at the horn when the switch is pressed, if it's there replace the horn. If it's not move up to the electrical system.

The OEM horn will be located somewhere in this area.

Ok. SO I checked the fuse and it was bad. However, I put a new one in and tried out the horn....The fuse went bad again. So obsviously I have an electrical problem. Any ideas where it could be?

Make sure the horn is getting full voltage, if it is...then replace the horn. And racer, no prob.

hmm my reply disappeared.

Anyway, I checked the fuse and it was bad. SO I replaced the fuse, started the car, pushed the steeringwheel to use the horn, nothing happend...but the fuse went bad again...Obviously it is a electrical problem, any idea where to it could be???
