So i was letting my car warm up for work yesterday and i come out and look at the rear of my car and notice the usual smoke from it being cold outside but notice its also coming from the rear of the canister of my APexi N1. Now the hole isnt really that big its prob the size or a pencil eraser. Im not sure how old the exahust is because i bought my car with it already installed and that was about 3 yrs ago. what do you guys suggest? Try to goto a muffler shop to attempt to weld the hole or see if i can be lucky enough to just get the rear bolt up section of the cat-back from somewhere.

The walls on these types of mufflers are so thin that they are easy to burn right through so sometimes your average muffler shops have a hard time with trying to fix holes and such. If the hole is that small I wouldn't worry about it for now. You might want to save up for that new catback though down the road.

Mine N1 did the same thing on the backside of the muffler, but its quite a bit. I may just replace the muffler when it warms up

2 N1's Ive had did this also. You pay that much for a muffler, youd expect the back to be SS also. I welded mine closed the first time on the second muffler, and it blew out more after about a month. I just went with a Dynomax Ultra Flo SS. My first n1 had the back part blow off like a lid to a coffee can. Talk about pissed.

I'm gonna try calling them and see if i may be able to get the axle-back portion of the exhaust, If not im welding up one of these babies.
