My uncle gave me an HKS turbo timer her bought for a Talon in the 90's. But the instructions are in Japanese. So he never installed it. Its new in the box, and all the wires are still in plastic bags. HKS is charging $5-$10 to have instructions sent if you have no invoice. That's bs IMO. Anyone have some to install an HKS turbo timer on a 1G Talon it'd be very much appreciated.

I want to see this timer. From the 90's still in the box? That's pretty cool. Why not just order the plug & play harness, then follow one of the tech articles on here or VFAQ?

Just look at the one under my dash unless you want to see the box too. That's in the basement somewhere.
It looks like this one.

If you use the harness there is nothing to do but unhook the ignition switch and plug it in and attach the wire to the e-brake switch.

I just looked and found the box for the harness, it's a MT-1 and you can still buy them. eBay Motors: HKS TURBO TIMER HARNESS 1G ECLIPSE TALON 3000GT STEALTH (item 350171263291 end time Apr-26-09 23:23:09 PDT)

Lol! Smartass. Well, I was in your garage over the winter, you should have showed me.

Damm, I'll have to refill the mind reading fluid in my crystal ball. It's empty from spending too much time in the newbie forum. That way I will know what to show you even if you don't.

Yes, it looks like that one.

If you don't have the harness for the DSM order it on eBay. You really don't want to splice into the factory wiring if you don't have to, it just causes problems down the road.

The install is simple with it. My timer is still working great after 18 years.

I found a couple by searchin hks turbo timer harness dsm. I didn't look to closely at the ad though.

I have that same TT that is in the above link and It works like a champ still! no need for all those fancy options.

The only downside has been getting used to the car running when you close the door. Being the dumb ass that I am it's lead to locking the keys in the ignition more than once over the years. :)

It also I believe it had a lot to do with my 14b still being in great shape after having 100k miles on it.
