Hi guys, I was given an HKS Turbo timer (#95B979) for my 1991 Eagle Talon awd tsi 5spd and I bought a HKS harness (MT-1 OR 4103-RM001) from Ziggy to install it. The issue is some one cut the plug off of the TT so I have 6 wires total.
What I need to know is do the red, green, blue wires on the small HKS harness's plug match up to the HKS TT wires (Color for Color)? and if so where does the Yellow (ig2) wire end up going? I'd think the Green and Yellow just tie together??

I have read that the yellow wire is brown on a 2g car and is the tach signal and in my case the yellow wire has the same function as the brown, if that's true what wire do I tap into and why doesn't it just plug in like the rest?

I just plan on cutting off the harnesses 3 wire plug and soldering the TT's wires on to it so its still removable and won't hack my factory wiring.

I'm sure that the green and yellow wires both being ignition wires they should be wired together...Here is what I've done:

Soldered the green and yellow together to the green wire on the HKS harness and then matched the blue to blue and red to red....

Then I added wire extensions to the black and gray wires to run as a ground and to the hand break. All of the soldered connections have heat shrink tubing and I soldered instead of crimping my connectors on.
This way the entire unit is still easy to remove with out messing up the factory wiring in the steering column.
