How much hp i can get if i put HKS cams?Why european models have 150hp and american 135hp,is there some parts different?
 
I dunno really but ive heard that upgrading cams as a first mod would hurt you more then do good things.
 
He's not saying that they hurt the engine. What he means is that the cams won't do you any good with out supporting mods. Such as intake, exhaust, head work, and some way to get more fuel in there. Also I don't think HKS makes cams for non-turbo eclipses. You may want to check out Crane, 0r Crower if your dead set on doing it. But imo I'd hold off on the cams and start modding elsewhere. As for the difference for the hp, I could be wrong but the 420a wasn't sent to europe for emissions reasons. The european non-turbo has 4g63 w/no turbo. Am I correct? :confused:

yeah, i think ive heard that there is no 420a eclipse in europe.
 
Yes we have in Europe both 420a and 4g63 engines.What mods you recommend if cams are no good?How much HP i can get without turbo and nitrous?How much HP your 4g63 non-turbo engines have?
 
He has a 4g63 if it's a 92 n/t, not a neon motor. So HKS cams will fit, since the heads are the same on the turbo and non turbo. I have a 94 with basic bolt ons and a 65-70 shot of nitrous, so figure mabye 180 hp on the bottle? If you want to drag race don't waste your time on modding a NT, buy a T. If you enjoy cornering and actually driving your car then i'd say do the basic bolt ons and get a nitrous kit, then focus your money on suspension.
