So it was wet out, in a best buy parking lot and no cars around at all. So i decide to do some drifting. Except i think i went a lil over board because i kept sliding until i hit a curb (LOL) I hit it straight on. No flat tires, but the right side of the car seems to be affected. When i start it up in the morning now it sounds like metal clattering together by the right side of the wheel. Also, it feels like something is rubbing when i'm going between 0-30mph. Can feel it by how the steering wheel feels (know what im saying?) Any help would be great!

Thanks
-Jason-

So last night i hit a patch of black ice at like 10 mph and slid sideways into a curb. It was uncontrollable. ANyways, it hit my two passenger side rims and now my steering wheel isnt straight when my wheels are if that makes sense. It isnt htat bad but it is off. Can i get this fixed when i get new rims and tires? i still have the stock rims.

You've either bent a tie rod, broken a tie rod end, bent a control arm, or somehow otherwise damaged something to alter your alignment. Getting new rims and tires isn't going to solve that. Whatever you damaged needs to be repaired before you cause more damage to the car.

however, its completely fine driving it though. Should i just not even drive it anywhere? i drove it the rest of the day and it was all fine. I actually forgot about it, to be honest.

A few weeks ago, we had a big snowstorm. Dude comes into work (I work in an auto shop but I just sell tires and stuff) with a Subaru WRX. One of the wheels is skewed out, and he said he hit a curb. It drove just fine, but the control arm and shock were both bent all to hell. Even the knuckle was tweaked a bit.

I told him, "No more AWD snow drifts for you."

Regardless how well it drives, something has knocked the alignment off. The sooner you get it checked out, the better.

i smacked a curb in my old GST. i thought my alignment was just messed up, took it to a shop and found out that i bent both of the front right lower control arms. they were only 60 bucks on ebay, but a p.i.t.a. nonetheless...get it checked...

Ok so i hit a curb today and the rear toe control arm, i think is what is called is bent to hell. Its the big arm that adjusts the toe for the rear wheels. Can anyone tell me the name of that arm? Its connected to the hub assembly, thanks.

Rear trailing arm? Is it just the AWDs that have this?

basically it's the Toe Control Arm. I know cause I'm having the same issue right now. Except when I curbed my car, it broke the trailing arm and the knuckle on the passenger side rear, which i promptly replaced. but while tightening the nut on the ball joint that is connected to the Toe Control Arm, i broke the nut on the ball joint. no one seems to sell just a ball joint either, go figure. but the best bet, if it's broken is to go to a Mitsi dealership and have them order the Toe Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly for the same year and model type of Eclipse. That's about what I'm getting ready to do. or you can just find someone parting out, GOOD LUCK! LOL And I think that the RWD would also have this, but i'm only relying on common sense to say that. I.E. I've never personally seen one.

I hit a curb yesterday and messed up my racing harts:cry: Is there a way I can fix it? Grind it down maybe? any ideas?
