A week ago today I was taking a corner and hit a patch of ice and put my car into a curb. At first the damage didn't look like much, only a slightly bent wheel. Well it turned out I did a really good job of curbing my car because I bent the following items on the right front side of my car: straight lower control arm, bent lower control arm, steering knuckle, steering fork, strut, and the wheel. I had a shop order new parts. They got the parts in today and installed it all. Well now there is another problem.. They put the car on the alignment machine, and the car pulls 3 degrees to the left. The car had perfect alignment before the crash. The shop doesn't know what the problem is and visually inspected the left side of the car and can't find a problem, but this doesn't mean there isn't a problem. They also highly doubt there is any frame damage as they did a thorough inspection. The worst part of all this is that I just bought the car a little over two weeks ago!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they don't know why the car is pulling then bring it to another shop. I have never worked on a car that I couldn't figure out why it was pulling. And alignments are one of my main jobs at work.

Your going to have to get the car on a frame straightener and take some measurements and see where the chassis is out and correct it.

Goodluck.

I curbed my car a while back...same result. Trashed everything on the passenger side with the exception of the knuckle...upper/lower control arms, lateral arm, wheel bearing assembly, outer tie rod end, sway-bar link and tore up the bushings in my Ingall's camber kit. I replaced the upper control arm and outer tie rod on the driver side.

I don't know if you have camber kits on the car, but on mine the "movable" portion actually "jammed" into the back of the kit and had to be "popped-out" to give it movement again so it could be properly adjusted.

The attachment points of the front suspension would not take too much of a hit (depending on "angle of contact" for it to move them, especially the upper control arm points).

Thanks for all the help guys. Pretty much the shop is retarded but under another inspection a very slightly bent lower control arm was found on the left side of the vehicle from a prior curbing from the original owner ROFL, there was also junkyard replacement parts on that side too.
