ok so this is the problem. my car ran fine for about a week then all my lights started to dimm and car died. i replaced that battery and alternator. it was fine for about three days and then agian tonight my lights dimm and the just dies. any ideas.

no i havent i will in the am, but will it pop out of no where? also what would cause it to

No, it shouldn't just randomly blow. Maybe you grounded something out while replacing the alternator... If the fuse isn't blown, check to make sure you've got the leads that connect to the battery on (four white wires on the post) Also make sure you've got all the alternator wires connected properly (and, not to sound like an a55, but make sure the battery is disconnected while doing this - sometime I skip that step... and blow alternator fuse :shhh: )

ok so i got the car running again. i ended up having a bad voltage regulator in the alternator and it ended up boiling over the battery. so both are brand new once agian. incase it happens again what might cause the voltage regulator to go like that thanks for your help pnishr
