Hissing sound at time of spool up

I hear a hissing sound coming form the engine bay right around the time my turbo is beginning to spool. Do you think this is a boost leak or just the air coming in around my rigged on K & N(only held on with the old filter housing clamps)? I don't have any problems with the car running funny and it spools to 15.5 psi and holds. Any ideas? Thanks.

hey man, my car is doing the same thing, I'm making a leak tester this weekend to check for leaks in the intake track, I'm thinking thats the same thing going on with your car......................check into the leak tester, its only a couple bucks to make, and it last forever. www.vfaq.com

Thanks for the info. I am also thinking maybe it could be the factory BOV. What do you think? Need help. Thanks.

The 1G BOV is good to at least 20 Psi so I am guessing you have a boost leak somewhere. Do a test and find out.
