I've got nothing at the moment that's worth showing. Shop slowed down on my car the past month or so. They expect their work to be done by the end of the month. I'll have pics hopefully then.

My car might be out of the shop within a week.

On the bolts for my body panels I went with aluminum anodized dome-head ones from Pro Bolt USA. Black of course. Really nice pieces. We'll see how they hold up.
 
Gentlemen, may I be one of the many who have said: OMFG! This is a dream kit for a youngster like myself with visions of track days and record times. @Andrew, your work is nothing less than amazing and you should go down in the books as nothing short of a genius. For all of you who have already purchased, installed, and ran this kit good on you, I'm chasing the dream in which you're all living. Maybe one day for me but, I can tell you now, it's pretty far away.
 
Getting there, but still probably a few weeks away. Sure is a pretty black right now, and that's before any real polishing. Rear bumper and diffuser still need painting, some parts need installing like the wing and front ductwork, but it looked so shiny I figured I might as well share.

Thanks for the offer :) I actually have a DSLR, a Nikon D80, but I only have experience with architecture and scenery so at least bring your photography skills hehe. Car is looking to be done now in like... two weeks (the body guy says, which means possibly more sadly), but when it's done a small photo shoot would be in order before track duty destroys the paint :)
 
Ok... Quick question. Maybe I missed something. Andrew I think you're running 325 width tires? And tsiawd666 did you go with 285 width tires like you planned? Ok keep in mind I am not bashing anyone's design. Possibly I missed a detail? Ok so monster width tires. I see how that works in the front. The front fender is approx 4 (?) inches wider so that determines how wide of a tire you can run while still being lowered and keeping the tire with in the fender. So functionally the front is easier to picture in my head. In the rear the new fiberglass fender goes over the rear quarterpanel. It also is wider but the actual steel wheel opening of the original quarter panel is what determines the size of the opening? So either some material is cut out from the rear wheel opening to create more upwards movement for the new monster width rear tire? Only so much material can be cut out before you hit the main unibody seam between the quarterpanel & the wheel well. I assume people running this bodykit will be using extremely stiff springs. 700kg or 800kg springs in front (?) and a corresponding weight spring in the rear? With very little actual upward wheel movement? Is this bodykit intended to have the nose lower? Again I'm not criticizing. I'm just trying to figure out the overall layout.
 
It was pretty hard to understand what your quick question was with all your question marks. Assuming you're wondering how big tires fit in the rear: you cut and re-weld the unibody in the rear.
 
SO SEXY! Those first few rock chips and such are going to hurt! I hate how long it take most shop to get this type of work done. It is time consuming but come on. It's the weeks or days at a time of it sitting there and no one touching that really add up!

Love the car John. You really should bring that to the dsm shootout! 20th Anniversary!
 
My car's almost done at the body shop. Have some minor things generally (stickers, painting some of the silver stuff black, final detailing, re-installing small parts that were missed), and one big issue with the front bumper cover mounting. We deviated from Andrew's proposed mounting method and we realized this week my current mehtod no longer provides much of any support to the bumper when braking. I have three tiny dsuz in the center that would hold the bumper back and that is not enough as with all this paint the bumper cover is HEAVY. One hard brake on a straightaway and stuff will probably start breaking so we need to come up with some additional fastening. There are mounting supports at the corner near the fender, but they are loose to allow the bumper to slip into place, and there is probably about a 2" from the bracket to the rear of the hole in the fiberglass on the bumper cover, so there's really no support in that axis when braking. We tossed around ideas of adding something like dsuz on the vertical front face of the bumper cover near the mouth on each side that would perhaps screw into brackets on the metal bumper, but I really don't want to screw up the pretty face haha. We may also extend some vertical brackets from inside the fender (the brackets there attach to the chassis so they're fairly strong) downward, and have some dsuz fasteners on the vertical side faces of the front bumper cover that screw into these.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. I'm sure everyone with this kit could benefit.

Sorry, these are camera phone pics still but it's still a work in progress so who cares :) Remember the car's not been really polished or detailed yet, and has some dust/fingerprints, and small imperfections still.
