I have a 96 Eclipse NT with 111,000k miles on it I have OBX header Racitce CAI new plugs and some after market Plug wires and a Apexi Cat back..(Plan on making big upgrades soon)

OBX intake MAnifold
MP 600mm throttle body
OBX Adj. Cam Sprokets
some Stage 2 cams


but any ways I keep losing to a 95+ Civic 1.8 Vtec U launched at 5500RPMS and had him off the line but once he hit 2nd he pulled and ahead and beat me by a car length. what RPM should I launch at and shift at? He is stock except for a CAI and he has over 200K miles on his motor..im hammerd so forgive the spelling

well you may want to change your planned mods. 600mm might be a tad too big, you may want to go with 60mm, but i think 57mm would be better suited for you since your NA. dont get an OBX intake manifold, port your own for a fraction of the price with the same results. as for the civic problem, i dunno ive never lost to one i usually practice launching at the highest rpm i can without breaking traction, spinning my wheels.

I guess I could take my GSX out and race him, but I have the only AWD or turbo charged car that goes out to race..and thats no fun for them, Losing by 4 Cars lengths must suck
