YouTube - Sunroof dsm
Sunroof has done this twice now, took it to english only to have Lucas try it, and first try it just closed perfectly for him, wtf? Ive tried helpin it along, greasing the rails, manualing closing it with the allen keys, etc. Lucas tightened the screws holding onto the glass. Anyways im stuck on what to do, and need an answer quick as the rain is coming on friday! Any ideas?

I believe the motor has a built in ECM for the sunroof, so I can only suggest trying another motor but not 100% sure, maybe someone else can verify.

the hubby's did that. he ended up taking the glass off to find it was getting hung up on something. i can't remember what it was now. a cable or something? try taking the glass completely out so you can see what's going on

My computer wont pull up the link, but i have a lot of sunroof experience... Since i cant see the video i cant say for sure, but theres a weak part on the mount that often breaks in dsm's. When it does it normally wont close unless its assisted by pushing forward on it while you hold the close button. If youll post a link to the video ill see if i can help though.

My sun roof did the same thing when you are tryin to close it help with hand push on front middle part of the glass so you can help the motor to close and the rails not to bend.

or take out the glass theres 6 screws and you can close it with out the glass there .... i did it on my car it works.

can i take out the six screws close it, then put the glass back on? So does this mean i need to get it fixed eventually?

Lol mine did it last week and just did it today, I sprayed some WD40 and pushed it along. Try to close it everytime you leave car, when I leave it open in the garage for a while, it sticks, can you say recall.

Yea you have a broken mount. Usually 12 bucks at the junkyard. Take the glass off and see which side is broken. When the sunroof is partially open you should be able to move one side toward the front and back of the car with a little more slack than the other side, thats the side that needs to be replaced. You can put just about any sunroof mount from any crystler from 95-99 in there, avengers, neons, some sebrings, etc. just look for a glass thats the same size on a chrystler and rip the mount out track and all.
