I have a AEM UEGO wideband and I seem to have it screwed up. It just reads super lean and --- on the screen.

I have the wires ran into the radio since I have it on the one DIN of the radio slots. I Have red to red power wire on radio and used the radio ground to ground it. I just capped the blue and white wires.

Any help would be super great.

IIRC most widebands require an ignition source to work correctly, the problem comes in when an accessory power source has a large drop in voltage while the car is starting at the same time that the wideband is calibrating. Also FWIW I don't suggest wiring it into the radio, I did (and I still haven't fixed it) but I can no longer listen to AM radio with the wideband still connected and I imagine this can cause interference to the wideband too.

If the gauge is reading ---, then the wiring you've done is good since that is only for power and it seems you're getting it. Double check everything is plugged in? The sensor harness to the gauge, and harness to the sensor?

It scrolls and everything then --- and the meter is full lean.

If everything is plugged in and the sensor is brand new and mounted at the proper location, the only thing I can think that would cause it to read that lean is if you have some kind of exhaust leak before the sensor.

Its not reading lean. The digital isnt reading at all just ---- and the sweeping part is full rich.

I'm not entirely sure what your problem is because I've never heard of the calibration issue actually affecting the meter so badly that it doesn't display but the correct way to find the power that you need is to unplug your igniter then crawl under your dash with a voltmeter and start plugging it into the harness until you find a wire whose voltage doesn't drop while you're cranking the car over. Or you could look at a wiring diagram though I'm not sure on where to find that for a 1g. Try Car Alarm, Car Stereo, Mobile Video, and Cruise Control Info for Installers and maybe look under remote starters for the color of your ignition wire.

I would also start looking for someone that can loan you a gauge to rule out hardware failure. Just to be sure you do have both connectors to the back of the gauge right? I'm not trying to insult your intelligence at all it is just one of those questions that should be asked in case it causes someone to have a lightbulb moment where they've forgotten the entire second half of the install in their excitement to have a working WB.

I would suggest hooking up the Ground to its own source as well. I remember I installed a wideband along w boost and oil gauge on my buddies civic I made this snazzy looking harness that wired the 3 together then just tied them to one ground and one power. It had the same problem It either read lean the entire time or bounced lean to rich etc. We finally ran it to its own ground and power source and this fixed the issue.

Not all wiring problems are the same but I would suggest making the ground nice and as short as possible. I would also shy away from using the radio for a power supply +1

The AEM 30-4100 Guage Type UEGO Controller instructions state:
red-connect to a switched 10-18v source utilizing a 10a fuse
black-use a clean chassis grounding point
white-0-5v analog
blue-serial output

PIMking, I saw in your profile you have DSMLink. You may be able to utilize the white 0-5v analog signal for wideband support to the ecu.

I soldered mine to the radio harness too and it works just fine. It sounds like either your O2 sensor is bad or somehow the chip on the O2 harness got damaged. I'd double-check the harness going to the o2 sensor. If it looks fine, then I think the O2 sensor itself is suspect. Are you using the O2 sensor it came with, and did you buy it new? My last one only lasted around 30K miles, then it started displaying --- if you bought it used.

Brand new. this and the J-pipe were the only Ebay parts too.... :(

My buddy who has a supra has the same wide band and even when you turn the car on but dont start it his reads some sort of aft. Mine does the same thing started or sitting.

I didnt mean an generic universal one, I meant the wideband sensor itself.

What is the voltage of a radio wires?

should I move the power to something else say lighter?

The voltage is the same for the whole car - 12V to your radio. You're perfectly fine running off your radio wire - as long as it's a good connection it shouldn't cause any problems. These UEGOs power requirements are quite modest at 16 watts. Also, according to the instructions, you don't have to have the UEGO hooked up to an uninterruptable ignition line:

From Manual:
RED <Power>
Connect to a switched 10-18 volt power source utilizing a 10A fuse.
