Today I recieved my MBC and I hooked it up and when I press on the Gas it is not giving me any power 2500rpm pedal to the medal. Here is a video of my setup.....

I Spliced from my wastegate hose coming off the intake manifold and attached the MBC now its not giving me any power.. I saw some articles on here but it just got me confused on how to set it up.....

I'm going to eat with my wife so I will be on in a little bit...I know someone knows how to do it so thanks in advance...

You made it sound like you hooked up both the vacuum and wastegate signal to the same hose. You need a separate hose from wastegate actuator on turbo to mbc side port. This is not how i run mine and not recommended by many, but, you could tee the vacuum source from the hose that goes from manifold to bov since i'm assuming you don't have a j-pipe. Many tee into the hose from manifold to fuel regulator as well. The ideal place would be a fitting on the turbo's compressor housing or put a fitting in the intercooler piping

mine looks absolutely nothing like that.... ill take pics tomorrow morning and post em to see if you could base it off of that

i still dont have a clue about what is the right route...I dont have the things shown in that pic...I bought this car off a friend of mine that did not get to complete his project. Now I am thinking his whole setup is wrong as far as hooking up the hoses....His setup was...
One hose conecting from the wastegate actuator teed off to the intake manifoldCIMG1012-1.jpg picture by 95gsxguy_2009 - Photobucket... Then he has a blowoff valve hose hooked up to the intake manifold also....I was looking at my turbo and I saw a total of three hoses. Two are cooling lines and the other is the hose on the wastegate that was teed off to the intake manifold....CIMG1013-1.jpg picture by 95gsxguy_2009 - Photobucket The one showed on the hallman MBC setup shows two otherhose hook up to something and they have an stock airbox.....I am trying to understand how to get the right setup coz right now its so confusing...I am not even sure all the hoses are hooked up right but it was running and was working before I tapped the MBC to the Wastegate hose.

On this Instruction I am looking at the setup and it is not at all looking like mine..If you look at the second picture the one that says it is the easiest where they hook up the MBC from turbo to waste gate...I dont have that hose setup the way mine is...does it matter what turbo..I am running a evo 3 16g...http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/237982-best-way-install-mbc.htmlNow here is an image of what my turbo looks like with the lines and all excluding the oil line....turbo tdo5 16g picture by 95gsxguy_2009 - Photobucket

my J pipe doest have that nipple see....off center j pipe picture by 95gsxguy_2009 - Photobucket... and if you look at the video in the beginning what am does the wategate actuator hose hook to without the MBC installed..and when you install the MBC where am I going to put the rest of the line at since I tapped it to the MBC...Thank you guys for your time and help...just trying to improve it...

Best thing to do would be to make one. Weld a fitting into the pipe.

Second best option would be instead of using that nipple, tee off the bov line, not the fpr line.

i got mine t'd off the bov just like stated above. it comes from the intake mani to a t, were a hose goes to the bov and the mbc. and from their the other side of the mbc goes to the turbo. haven't had a prob like this for over a year now. hope this helps

Remove the red hose from the fitting by the intake manifold and plug it into the MBC. Cap the open fitting.

Cut the green one in half and put a T fitting in the line. Run a line from the fitting to your MBC.

Again, refer to my diagram in my previous post. It shows a picture.

OMG Thanks so much now its all clear now...I was getting confused on why that wastegate was teed of to that thing...Ok so now I have to just tee off the BOV AND WG and hook my MBC in between those 2 and then hook up tho the intake manifold...I am so relieved now...the J pipe nipple deal is gonna have to wait coz I am waiting for my 20g to arrive from my friend...

wow its so simple i feel so dumb...well I guess that hose from wastegate to t fitting threw me off...is that even suppose to be hooked up like that without an MBC.? well you dont have to answer that you guys answered enough...thank you so much....

On a bone stock car, there is a nipple on the turbine housing outlet pipe. A hose is run from that nipple to the nipple on the wastegate, and provides pressure to activate the wastegate whenever you hit 9-10psi of boost.

Ok this morning I did my second install on the MBC...I teed off from the BOV and intsalled the MBC...It did the same thing as it was doing yesterday...Max RPM 2500... Now that my setup is right why isn't it letting me reach a higher RPM....I have the video of the finished install. Is there any1 that this happened to or have a pic of how the setup is..other than diagram. Here is my video of the setup..MBC Setup video by 95gsxguy_2009 - Photobucket..thank you.

If I am reading this correctly, you aren't able to rev above 2500RPM? If so this sounds like it could be a boost leak.

Two hoses man! one from wg actuator to side port on mbc. Then vacuum source. I tried to read your diagram but not getting what your saying with wg to manifold hose. its just wg actuator to mbc. Post#8 has the correct diagram, if you need to use bov instead of fitting in piping for vacuum, do it for now

Boostleak?? I will check hoses again..but I set it up the way it showed on DSM4ME diagram.. Now the purple line on the link provided is obselete. It use to be there. The two lines I have hooked up to the MBC are the WG and BOV...how can I troubleshoot the issue..My First install did the samething as far as not letting me get to anyhigher RPM other than 2500.. but that was with the MBC hooked up to just the WG into the Intake Manifold. Now that I have it from the WG and BOV its still doing it..I am baffled right now..Prior to the setup it was reving all the way up to 7000rpm.

That MBC sucks. My buddy was having problems with that exact one. The ball bearing is huge and it barely lets any air get by. I had some spare ball bearings from me making my own and i couldn't get a spring to match it. So i just gave him one of my spare MBCs and it works like a champ... I would get rid of that ebay crap or find a way to fix that one with a smaller ball and a spring that will work with the smaller ball...

You need to loosed up your BOV btw.. It is surging...

Try taking the MBC off and loosen up the spring and try blowing through the end that connects to the intake manifold and notice how much air makes it by... terrible design..

The boost leak can be caused by the MBC leaking vaccum..
