I have a AEM UEGO wideband and I seem to have it screwed up. It just reads super lean and --- on the screen.

I have the wires ran into the radio since I have it on the one DIN of the radio slots. I Have red to red power wire on radio and used the radio ground to ground it. I just capped the blue and white wires.

Any help would be super great.

The voltage is the same for the whole car - 12V to your radio. You're perfectly fine running off your radio wire - as long as it's a good connection it shouldn't cause any problems. These UEGOs power requirements are quite modest at 16 watts. Also, according to the instructions, you don't have to have the UEGO hooked up to an uninterruptable ignition line:
RED <Power>
Connect to a switched 10-18 volt power source utilizing a 10A fuse.

Meaning?

I just went out messed with the wires. I seperated the ground and put it on a new one. No dice same result.

Tried new ground with new power source. (yellow memory wire always hot) no dice same result.

I come to belive that I wasted 200 bucks......

I was just saying your wiring was fine - the bottom portion is from the manual. I'd at least try the O2 sensor on your buddy's car so you know if it's the display or the O2 sensor. If it is the sensor, I'd at least try to warranty it through AEM before you go out and buy a new one.

From what I read already it seems that you have to pay them $30 just to look at it.

Screw that I should of got a LC-1 kit from the start.

Try running the power from pin102 on the ecu which is it's power source. For my lc-1, I connected the controller power and gauge power to it. I didn't ground it with the ecu, too.

Well after the car gets aligned today I will take the gauge out and check the wires again.. I will also take the wires off the sensor and pull it back through the dash and run the gauge right of the battery real quick to see if its a power issue. I belive the guage is toast.

I wired my AEM UEGO gage accordingly:
red-pulled 10a fuse from block, insert red wire to + side and replace 10a fuse
black-remove bolt from firewall, crip connecter large enough for bolt and re-insert.

This worked for me.
If you think the sensor may be bad, there is a step-by-step video on AEM's fourum.
You need only a can of carb cleaner to exicute the test.

I spoke with AEM and they think its the sensor. I would of never thought they would think they would sell a dud. (sarcasm) but he told me to dissconect the sensor and retry and see if it reads anything. then I should test the white wire on the sensor off the gauge and see if its reading. If not the gauge is bad and to send it in to them. I told him if I was going to wait weeks for them to tear it apart and then tell me nothing but im SOL then I will just get a LC-1

That's odd. I just read about another guy on having the same problem on another board I administer. Maybe it's a bad batch of gauges. He replaced his sensor already and is having the same problem. Have you tried a different calibration, such as P1 or P2?

say what about calibration?

Apparently, if the screw is set in between different calibrations, the gauge won't function properly. I saw where the other guy called EMS, they told him how to test the gauge and are replacing it for free under warranty. So you might want to give them a call.
