Hey guys you all have helped me out before with great advice so here is another for ya. I finally got my car back on the road again, I put a FMIC on, tube header and o2 housing, new brakes, grimmspeed MBC, and a couple autometer gauges (boost and oil) Now when I got it running again it ran great, boosted good, pulled hard, idled ok too. Them after about 4 days I stopped feeling the boost. The gauge shows it's boosting and I can hear the BOV, but I just can't feel boost. It still runs great except for this. The boost seems to spool up faster than before, but I can't feel it hardly at all? I am not knowledgable enough with these yet to know where to start? I did a visual inspection of all the clamps and couplers and everything looks ok. Just could use some advice
Thanks !

Ty I found the thread on it I will report back with my findings when I get it done. Thanks again for the help

Since you just recently installed your FMIC, it may help to go ahead and try to tighten down all of the couplings and such.

Tht was my train of thought at first so I did a quick look and tried to see if any of the couplers I could easily get to we're loose at all. I am gonna make a BLT and see what I find. My thinking was if there was a boost leak than how am I showing the same amount of boost I had before my issue? Gonna stop by Lowes tomorrow for the parts

Definately do a blt! But i have to tell you that with a awd you arent going to feel the torque steer you would feel with a fwd. When i had my car for about 2 monthes i went to english racing with the same complaint after i installed my fmic and after they looked everything over there was nothing wrong at all. They basically told me that i was just gettoing used to the car. After you drive the car for awhile the car doesnt feel as fast because you get used to it.
I would most definately do a blt though, they take less than a half hour to do and what seems like the smallest leak can reek havok on a turbo car. It will throw off your a/f for sure.Your car is metering the amount of air that is coming in through the maf,and if you have a leak you are getting less air than what the ecu thinks. Also what are you a/f readings looking like? Maybe you are running rich which would hold you back as well which im sure you know. But if you just got a mbc, they generally make the turbo spool up a little quicker. Also check all of your sensors, especially sensors on the thermostat and the o2.

Seems to be a boost leak, although it could deal with some other things. Do the test and see if you find anything. How are you boosting gradually or instantly?

Well it isn't me just "getting used" to the car. I know what it feels like when it is boosting correctly and even though my gauge is showing it boosting the motor is not seeing it. That is correct I did just install a MBC BUT the car ran just like it was supposed to afterwards. it was a few days after when I noticed the boost gauge showing boost but the car not pulling like it should.

I don't own a FWD drive car at all or can't figure out quite where you are getting the fwd thing in your statement. Can you elaborate more?

I was able to stop by lowes today and get everything i need for my BLT except for my valve stem. Gotta go to the parts store for that one. Hopefully I can get to the test tomorrow.

Thanks for all the replies everyone...it is really appreciated!

My bad,i'm not sure why i thought you were fwd. What happened with the blt?

Camas NP just confused me a bit
So I did a BLT and wow...I think just about every coupler was leaking! Got my bottle of "see-a-leak" and started fixing all the leaks. Got all that done and it seems to be running much better but still doesn't seem the same as it was. maybe it's just me. I might take my wife for a ride and see what she thinks...it is her car anyways! LOL
Thanks for the help!
