i have quick question to you guys
so im just wonering what Compression Ratio pistoms should i use for my 7bolt build ????

9.0:1 ????
or
8.3:1 ????

is it looks good ??

What turbo and other supporting mods? How much boost and what RPM are you looking for?

-i have almost new evo3 16g and im not planing change it
-7500rpm
-264 intake/264exhaust or 272intake/272 exhaust
-full 3inch exhaust
-fp exhaust manifold
and idk about boost yet

why people put in the 9.0:1 pistons ??
i know that the car has higher compession but whats the bad thing of it ??

Well 9.0:1 Pistons will raise the Cylinder Pressure. The bad thing of it is, If you are tyring to run lots of boost knock will come sooner. For Example your 8.3:1 could handle say 23Psi from your turbo (16g) then you change to 9.0:1 you will more than likely start to see some knock higher than before. Once again this is just an example to help explain. Also if you are tunning yourself the lower compression (8.3:1) pistons would be more forgiving than say 9.0:1. Hope this helps.

You wont be running a lot of boost with that turbo so the 9:1's would work really well for you. Think of it like this; if you're not pumping a lot of air through the motor, you want to squeeze the heck out of what you've got. Properly set up and tuned you will have no problem with running 9:1. The downside is that you've got less room for error when it comes to the tuning.
