I want to but more power into my engine. I figure the best way to do this is to start with an intake system. I have a 1st gen. n/t eclipse. I am wondering on all the items I would like to buy.
K&N Typhoon Intake
Stock Throttle body
Venom Intake Manifold

My question is how will I control my fuel injection. And also any suggestions for what fuel injector I have to buy if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

hey look you have a 93 eclipse so that engine is the easyest mod one. I recommend a cold air, exhaust, maybe buying a turbo kit.You best bet would be turbo cause trust me you will be wanting to have more power soon.

Actually a cold air intake is what got me into the whole thing. I have searched for days and there is no cold air intake for my car. My plan was to put on a short ram. And a cold air would not matter right? because if my car has an ECI multi injector system then the ECI would control the amount of air that is needed. And I think that would make a cold air useless. But I want a new intake manifold because if i have that instead of the ECI as the intake manifold then it would pack the air into the cylinders. I dont know if Im wrong or right. But any help is appreciated.

If you have money, do the turbo. But turbo= turbo ECU, INjectors, pistons, the whole 9 yards. Get an exhaust system. Replace the headers if possible. If yiou do go with a short ram, wrap the pipe in Exhaust wrap to keep the heat away from the air inside. Keeps the air inside the intake about 65 percent colder. Go To home cheapo and get some duck. Where ever the short ram is, run a duck to it.

I own a turbo 2G and what I did was used sheet metal and enclosed a half box around my KN intake filter. Then I used rubber weather stripping to make a seal when the hood closes. Then I cut the metal below the filter of the frame of the car and ran a duck from the lower left passenger bumper (next to the foglight) to the filter. HUGE difference. Just something for others to think about.

Hope I was helpful
