After fixing my loose wastegate flapper I've finally been able to explore the potential of my HX35 setup. However I am having a nagging knock issue. I get several counts of knock during boost starting in the low single digit psi area. I believe this to be phantom knock as it starts so low in rich conditions. However on deceleration the knock counts rise considerably. I am attaching my log with my timing table and fuel map to show what I am running into. Notice that there is usually low(relatively) counts of knock until the tps starts to drop then it shoots up. My theory is that the knock sensor is picking up drivetrain noise on decel or possibly the ssqv release (whistles initially then makes a warbled noise...initially I thought this was compressor surge...) There is a dyno day this Sunday locally and I'd like to run my car if I can get this figured out. My knock sensor is not leaking goo and has about 10k miles on it but may be over torqued so I will check that in the mean time.
My setup is: 6 bolt block, 8.5:1 Manley pistons, HX-35 Internally gated with .55 A/R BEP housing, FIC 850cc, Aeromotive AFPR, Walboro 255hp, tubular O2, 3 inch turbo back, hks ssqv vented, Punishment racing budget intercooler kit, FP intake pipe and K&N airfilter. Tunerpro/DS-map SD setup with GM 3bar MAP, LC-1 Wideband wired into ecu.
