help with 57 trim

I am looking to get a 57 trim for my car. My question is will it be ok. I would search for an answer but I want everyones opinion and answers. First my setup is I have a 90 gsx wit about 112k miles on it but the pistons were re-ringed and the bearing replaced and I will have a rebuilt head goin on soon. I have an afc, 550 ing, 2gmas, large race intercooler to support it. Currently have an evo16 and gone 12.1 with it but want more power. The problem is I want to make sure my engine will be able to handle that turbo and at what psi should I max on pump and race gas. I read that the 50 trims were better but my friend will sell me his 57 cheap. Thanks for any input guys.

It would all depend on the tune and the condition of the engine. If you can't tune it safely and you are running on the ragged edge of the what the turbo can put out then it won't last long.

You will need bigger injectors if you want to get the full potential out of it.

Also, as with any upgrades, you have to accpet the fact that the engine won't last forever.

~20 PSI on that turbo will be fun.

Yea I will be gettin the inj for it. I have boosted 24psi with the evo turbo with no problem. I have arp head studs and a 4 layer mitsu gasket. Anyone else have an opinion on my car with this turbo. Thanks
