Help! Where does this plug go?

So i am rebuilding my 1991 gsx. I took apart my engine and i thought i had taken all the bolts and plugs out and so i took the block to the machine shop. When i got it back this plug was in a bag with the block. Now i cant figure out where it goes. Sorry that it is a dumb question i just need help asap. Thanks.

that looks like a freeze plug from the cylinder head.

Ys it looks alot like the plug that goes in the head. I think there are more than one.

Nah look in the back of the block where the rear main seal goes,this plug screws in somewhere around there

No thats a small plug that goes on the head not a freeze plug there are a few of them.

he took the block to the machine shop not the head,this little plug will leak engine oil if not sealed properly,its not a freeze plug

Flywheel side right below the freeze plug maybe?

yep my bad not a freeze plug i should know ive had my engine tore down a lot, even last year but now shes back together.

looks like the plug for the oil filter housing where you would put an oil line to the turbo

It's an oil galley plug. They need to drill a hole straight through the block for the oil galley, then they need to plug the hole where the drill went through the outside of the block. So they thread the hole and screw that in there. There probably is one behind the flywheel, for the main-bearing oil-galley, but IDK; I've never tore down an (4g6)engine that far. I could swear I've seen them near the oil filter, and near the thermostat housing. Just look for a threaded hole that doesn't have a flat surface machined around it for a part or a bolt head.

Could be. They are the same 3/8" Tapered. The oil filter housing plugs have a different part number too.

Lol this was the first thing i ever posted and i was not expecting to get replies that quickly.

I found where the plug goes! Thanks for all of your help. The reason i could not find it was because the block was on an engine stand and that covered the hole. and just in case anyone else wanted to know where it went ill add a picture showing where it went. Oh and once again thank you every one who replied.
