Ok. . I have a very, very bad boost leak problem! As soon as I put air into the intake it shoots out around the injectors. I have already replaced the insulators once hoping to solve the problem. It helped alot for a day or two. Now it's back to leaking more than a girl going through PMS. Please help me fix this. This has been an on going problem for a while now. My parents say if I don't get rid of the problem they will get rid of the car. And I have no controll over that since I'm 16 and it's in their names. . So help!

:Notes: Really bad boost leak problem due to injector insulators. Replaced insulators once, still leaking. HELP!!!

Thanks,
Andrew

You "replaced the insulators" - with NEW ones, I hope?

Only thing I can think of trying would be to get your hands on a spare set of plastic spacers between the fuel rail and the mounting holes on the head (three of them, right?) and try to shave down their landing surfaces by 1/16" or so to see if you can't get the injectors to seat a little better/closer into the insulators.

OR, if there is a seat up there (and I didn't pay close enough attention when I had the injectors out last week, darn it!) you might also be able to force the injectors down by inserting an additional o-ring up into the injector bung - if there is a seat for it to land on, then it should be able to press the injector forward more towards the insulator. You'd just have to be sure to have that extra o-ring nice & straight, no slack/deformations in it and it would have to have a place to land and not just disappear into the fuel rail.

Ive used washers instead of the original rail spacers when the originals were lost on customers cars.Just make sure you don't use too many(thickness) or it will cause issues.

I really hope you weren't the one who lost the spacers. If a shop lost specific pieces for my car (especially 2 dollar pieces) then replaced them with washers, i'd be a little ticked.

How long ago did you replace them?
Where did you get them from?
What did you lube them with when you installed them?
Like everyone else has asked, did you loose the spacers or any other parts?

My suggestions:
1. Get a new set of them from slowboy racing. They're only $10 for all 4.
2. Go buy some Di-electric grease(or any other non petroleum grease)(any auto parts store.
3. Re-install them making sure you lube the injector seals with the di-electric grease.
This will help seat and seal them easier without tearing them. It will also help there life span. If you use oil or any petroleum grease/oil, it will help to dry them out.
4. Make sure you haven't lost any of the spacers or any other parts. If you have, replace them with stock parts.
Good luck

I replaced them with brand new oem replacements from diamond star motorsport. I didn't loose any of the spacers. I replaced them less than 100 miles ago. . I did not lubricate them with anything. I didn't know I was suppose to. I'll take them out and try that to see if it works. And I'd rather not replace them with spacers or cut down the stock spacers without trying everything else first. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks for the info guys.
