hi, ive searched and searched but i still havent figured this out yet. 2 weeks ago i did a boost leak test and i got it to hold around 15psi before it dropped, it got late so i had to do it another day. I went back yesterday to do the boost leak test again and i was wondering why it would not pressurize at all, well my brother walked to the back of the car and the air was just coming out the exhaust. i searched and it said that the crank has to be 30* tdc. well im new to this and i was wondering how exactly do i get it to 30*. i tried bumping the engine and trying but i got frustrated because it still wouldnt pressurize and its hot as hell in va right now. another thing i found out is that the egr needs to be cleaned, well i havent had a chance to do this yet. im kinda scared that i have bent valves, i havent heard any weird engine noises and my car seems to be running fine i just know its not boosting like it used to when i first installed my intercooler. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks alot.

Check all connections around the I/C and listen for a hissing noise around there and anywhere in the engine bay.Get yourself a bottle with soapy water and spray it anywhere you hear a noise if its leaking it will bubble,or with the car at idle spray some brake cleaner around any intake openings t/b,i/c pipe etc and if it leaking the cars idle will drop.

oh ok thanks alot for the info, how do i check to see if the throttle body seals? im sorry im asking so much but ive never dealt with this before. and when i do the boost leak test should i remove the oil cap? how do i get the crank to 30* tdc?
