I am using a 99 ECU with ECU flash for tuning, i have just installed the Omni 4 bar and the IAT for SD. my car is running lean at start up and gradually goes to 16.3 - 17.0. When i take it for a cruise and step on it, it doesn't respond or run as good with the MAF. I recalibrated as Ceddy documented. i am trying to dial in the injector scaling but the reading are different everytime i try to get it to Zero or much as possible. my AEM boost controller is set to 17 PSI of boost but doesn't get there, i use to reach that with the MAF on.

Also,

my exhaust manifold and O2 housing is getting red hot and melting my slim fan.

any help will be appreciated.:hmm:

SAFC still installed?

Did you flash the ECU with the SD ROM yet?

Maybe you should put the MAF back on and use (log) it for awhile until you get all the fuel settings dialed in precisely. Then you can use the lambda feedback from the WBO2 to apply corrections to the VE map. ?

I have flashed the SD Rom, i increased the fuel map on loads over 120. It was running to rich at those points, now its running better.

can i dial in the injectors with the SD setup? I dont have a Fuel Regulator could this be hurting me as well?

thanks for your help.

Short answer, yes.

Short answer, no.
It's not likely at higher fuel flow rates, but it may mislead you while tuning the injectors at idle and consequently slightly affect the entire fuel map. However, usually the end effect of an improper deadtime setting is very insignificant except at idle.

thanks,

ill do the following:

1- check for boost leaks
2 - dial in injectors in WOT. idle and cruise
3 - Log it and change de VE map as necesary.

Am i going to need to calculate my VE for more accurate readings or should i just stay below 80%?

VE is going to be measured by setting your fuel system properties up correctly in the software and then adjusting the fuel table cell you're operating in until your wideband closely matches what your target value is.

It sounds like you need to do some more research on your own.

Fuel Properites means Latency and Scaling? im guiding myself with ceddys tune guide.

thanks anyway.
