This is some weird sh*t!!!! Ok I had already put a post about my clutch but it maybe something else. Rebuilt engine new clutch, throw bearing, flywheel, and pressure plate. There is gear oil in tranny and transfer case. I can't put the car in gear when the car is on but of course when it's off I can. A few days ago I was hear a hitting/thumping sound coming from the tranny area when I would put the car in gear and start it. NOw it doesn't do that anymore but here is the weird stuff. I maybe stupid or something cause I really don't know how the wheels are suppose to spin on awd gsx.

Started the car in gear didn't make the hitting/thumping sound but still can't put in gear but then I look at the passanger side cv axle and it was spinning slower than all the tires. Until it just stopped when it stopped the cv axle turned backwards.

What is this problem...
oh yeah new clutch slave and master cylinder and clutch bleed four times..
 
When you say "new clutch" which one did you go with? Stock replacement, ACT 2100/2600, CFDF, or many others. Sounds like you are having clutch disengagement problems. Where does the pedal engage and disengage? Did you shim the clutch ball and replace the clutch fork?

Ok I have xtd clutch and pressure plate and what does shim the clutch ball means? No I didn't replace the clutch fork.
 
Do you mean on the disc? Anyway, that shouldn't matter, your just not getting the clutch to disengage at all. Who installed the clutch? If it was you, you should know whether or not the pivot ball was shimmed. I have always had to shim the pivot ball when putting in an after market clutch. Otherwise, it will not disengage.

Unfortunately, Yes, It does need to come off for you to shim the clutch pivot ball. When you put it back together test the pedal first thing after bolting up the tranny and slave cylinder. You should be able to tell where it disengages at just by the pedal pressure.

Ok I still need help!! I shimmy the pivot ball and actually added 2 washers there and my clutch still won't engage. Still can start the car in gear just can't switch gears. what else can't it be??????????
 
Go outside and look at the clutch fork. Is push it with your hand towards the passenger side. Now is it in the center of the opening for the fork? As seen in this picture HERE.

If it is, then you have a different problem. Probably with the Clutch master and slave cylinder adjustment. A few questions:

Can you put it in gear with the engine off. Then push the clutch in and will the car roll?

That will tell you if it's disengaging at all. I bet you're getting close but try adjusting the master cylinder rod as shown HERE.

I did adjust the master cylinder and can also put the car in gear when engine off. Could this problem be the pressure plate cause I can see the tob hitting the pressure plate but it still won't go into gear. Are XTD CLUTCH KITS BAD???
