Haynes yet again is confusing me. Just like when it says to test the MAF at the harness, the part that connects TO the MAF, which doesn't make any sense because you're not even touching the part you're testing, Haynes again according to the pictures instructs to test the ISC at the wire harness, not connected even to the ISC unit. Where is this noob confused? I'm trying to apply 6v to it with four cables because apparently as there are two terminals for both negative and positive they all have to connect to the battery

that's what i'm doing. Haynes looks to be doing something else.

looks like he's connected the clips to the wire harness side and not even touching the ISC. can someone please explain what i'm doing wrong or who's misleading me and how? Thanks
