Ok guys I need to hear what you have to say on this one. I have had my eclipse for about a year now and just put a new clutch in the other day. The car is running as great as it did the day I bought it. It really is an interesting car because after I bought it I found all sorts of different wires going here and there, many of them were grounds. It was very obvious that this car had been modded in the past. For starters it already had a 1g blow off value, some old exhaust, ngk plugs and the modded intake tube. It only had 29k on it when I bought it and it was a 97 so I have no clue what the guy had planned with it or what internals . Ok well time to get to my real question. I have read countless forums about boost lvls for the t-25. I know everyone says that it cant and should not be pushed over 16psi. People say it just wont hold the power due to the blow and how the turbo is designed. My boost controller is a Apexi ACV-R. It has 3 settings and they are A, B, and off. Off runs 16psi max by itself I cant control that one. Right now I have A set for 1.2 bars which calculates out to 17.64 psi. now I know most people say its just as fast or slower then 16psi but it is definitely not. But thats not all it gets better. I have my B to set to 1.35 bars which calculates out to almost 20psi. Now dont think im running around on this setting...god no. In fact I only used it once and that was against a Lancer EVO. The point is I feel and even bigger difference here then I did from the shift for off setting to A. So what is the deal with my car. If im not running as efficient why do I feel so much more power. Also do any of you think maybe I have better injectors or even maybe a 14b. If so, how could I tell? I guess thats all I have really to say. Oh yeah one more thing. My boost pressure in high setting doesnt drop much after 5.5k in fact only about .05 bar at red line. Well tell me what you think. Thanks.
