HELP differnet trannys

Is there is difference in gear ratios or any thing in the fwd tranny and the turbo fwd tranny and also is there a difference between the years on the trannys because i need another tranny for my car cuz mine is going out and the local u-pull it/salvage yard has a couple turbo dsms and 1 no turbo dsm with manual trannys

i m not sure what year they changed it but the shift linkage got changed but other than that i think they are all the same
