*HELP* Did I burn up my ECU?

I was driving home today the only time I have drove my dsm in the last month and all of a sudden you can hear clicking coming from the ECU like the noise it makes when you shut the vehicle off. Also while doing this the Tach and Stock boost gauge are going nuts and the car isnt running worth a crap.

I do have DSM link and tried to connect to my laptop and well no go. It would say Timed out.

Now when I turn on my vehicle the CEL light stays on and the boost gauge doenst move. I tried to start it before and the stock boost gauge stayed right on 14.

I am scared that the DSMlink chip is toast and the ECU.

I think I am just going to get a new ECU and sell the car. I just dont have the time for her anymore.

Easiest way to tell if your ecu is burnt is to smell it. I say get to it and see if it smells cooked then go from there.

it sounds they you did blow it, smell it. or take it out and open iot and look for burt spots

Meh, the car isnt here at the moment I will have to get it tomarrow its at a parking lot hopefully it doensnt get towed. I think I will get another ecu and sell it.

Okay, So I went back to the car a couple of hours later to make sure it was in gear and I figured that I should try to start her up. Well I turned the key on and the Stock boost gauge went to zero and she started right up. I just drover her home and Noticed that the ECU reset itself because I had the stock boost gauge set to a knock counter and it went back to the same ole boost estimator.

has anyone had this problem before?
