Well I finally got my car to idle the other day after installing v3 and a mtx-l wb. Then Sunday I changed the OFH and noticed the car would'nt idle right anymore, so I did a BLT today. I tested it to max of 20psi and when I was spraying for leaks the boost leak tester blew off because of weak clamp. So after testing I noticed some oil on the ground and some around the 02 housing and the car smokes now. Did I blow the seal of my freshly rebuilt turbo?:(

I don't see how it could have ruined your turbo. Maybe it's your oil filter housing.

Sorry about the thread jack, but could you please explain to me how it does this? I'm very curious.

You want me to explain how a leaky turbo will hurt the cosmetics of your rear bumper? Um ok .... leaky turbo makes oil smoke from tailpipe. Oil smoke from tail pipe gets all over bumper. Bumper looks like sh¡t because its covered in sh¡t from oil smoke.

If you were under the impression that I was being a smart ass, I wasn't. I was being serious.
I already knew that that would happen, but the way I understood your previous post is damage it some way instead of just making it dirty. I have some cracks on my rear bumper cover on the tailpipe said, and was going to see if that was the cause which was the reason for my question.

Oh ...LOL sorry i actually did think you were. No it just makes it dirty as hell. Every week i had to wipe that black crap off my bumper. I got over the whole thing. It was so nasty. But no it won't crack it.

It takes a good tug to rip stock bumper. You'd have to hit something or get it caught on something to rip it.

Yeah I wasn't. But its cool. You weren't a complete dick LOL.
I know what you mean by having to clean it all the time. I have some leaky valve stem seals that I need to replace, so my car gets dirty rather quickly. Maybe it's just because my tailpipe is right there, maybe it needs one of those shields that bolt on right above it.

Are you using stock pcv? If its vented and it still smokes at idle its not the pcv system. If you can, look at your turbine wheel (ie. Remove O2 housing) see if its oily. Check intake pipes for oil.
Next time on a turbo question post on turbo tech not the newbie forum section.

It's the stock PVC. One hose runs from the valve cover to my catch can and the other from the catch can to under to car(so oil won't be in piping). I messed up by plugging the hole thats under the car, because air was leaking from there. I was told it was suppose to hold for about 30 secs before all the air leaked out.

If a mod. steps in they can move the thread.

So you plugged the catch can's pressure outlet?

Compression is 150,155,120,185. Might need a rebuild. I need to get a leakdown test done. I was working on the car to get it tuned but know these #'s and I raped my turbo.

So what? Its a nice car and your dd. Low compression doesn't mean undriveable. Just put a good turbo on it and drive it and save up your money to fix it. It could just be the rings which can be done in the car and is inexpensive. That can be done in a day.

There is no reason to cut losses.

The thing is labor. I can't do it myself. I'd have to pay for the head work if that's the problem. Then my luck the rings will be next or vise versa. Then I'd have to pay labor again to remove the head to get to the rings. Either way I guess I'll send the turbo to JusMX141 for the rebuild once I find a car to drive, even if I part out. Only reason I'm thinking about parting is that if a rebuild doesn't work then I'm assed out, no money to fix or no money for a newer car. So the questions that I ask myself is, I'm I ready to kick this addiction, go balls out or move on to something newer, not boosted, more reliable(maybe). Dam I needed to vent!

Why can't you do it yourself? It would be a lot cheaper for you to do it, because labor is where you're going to be spending most of your money. There are plenty of guides on here that will help you step by step how to do your seals. Just make sure you pay close attention to everything. When you're doing your valve stem seals, you actually don't need to pull the head, there is another way to do it.

Time and I'm just not confident enough. I f'ed up a blt
