HELP asap with DSMLINK install!!

I just hooked up the 95 eprom ecu and swapped the plug order and hooked the cable up to the obd port and to my laptop it said it recognized new hardware but it will not connect. The key is turned on and when I open DSMLINK and click on "online" under ECU it says IO command failed....

Please help me I am very frustrated.

Do you have the right comm port selected for your usb adapter? Or do you actually have a serial port on your computer?

Check to see what com port you are using for your cable and set it to the sam com port in the link options on the config tab.

Awesome I found it under options I changed it to comm9 and it worked! Thanks then chip is burned for 880's and I am still stock (got 850's for next weekends project) so I'm going to try to set the global and deadtime for that and get it to idle. Does anyone know offhand what global and deadtime you use for stock?

Set both global and deadtime to 0.

For stock injectors both are 0 ok that makes sense... Ill let you know asap.

Idled good, I adjusted it up and down and it was working.. I set the rev limiter and 3 and 4 thousand rpm and it worked (I don't have the cc wire hooked up yet) and I made a few logs of the car at idle and just revving.

I would take it for a drive but it is dark and rain/snowing. I just got the car out of storage today and changed oil, plugs, tranny fluid, and diff fluid... along with a can of seafoam through the bov vacuum line and a can through the gas. Doing it through the vacuum line smoked the shit out of my whole neighborhood!
