help, 420A head parts details???

Hi, I want to fix the famous oil leak on my Eclipse with 30K miles, so I am searching for parts but I'm not sure for the dimension.

Can you tell me which dimension of thicknes and bore size I need for my low mileage engine, and also I am loking for an ARP's but the bolts which is offered to me are with this part number ARP-141-4202, and I think that they are not suitable for this engine because all 10 bolts are with same lenght... ??? what should I do now?

Those would be the right head bolts. And any of those gaskets should work, just make sure you get a MLS head gasket.

Ok thanks, but what thicknes of gasket should I go, because I would like to be everything standart.

Whoa! If its a stock motor you do not need arp head bolts unless you plan on building the motor. You need to check if the head bolts have streached or not. If not they can be reused on a stock build. And a mls cometic head gasket requires the block and head to be surfaced to have a good finish. Now a composite head gasket will work with just the head being surfaced as long as nothing is warped. I would get a standard fel pro composite head gasket. As long as everything is torqued properly and done right you should not have any leaks.

Last time I checked you don't want to re-use oem head bolts as they are torq-to-yield if I remember correctly.

But I do agree that you don't need ARP headstuds if your not building the motor for more then stock power levels.

This is correct. I have known some people to check them out and reuse them. In my opinion it's not even worth the risk when new ones are $30ish dollars. It would cost more to have the machine shop drill out the bolt hole.

OP when you are looking that the head gasket just pick the stock dimensions. And as stated ARPs are a waste of money for you unless you are building the eninge.

Get whatever head gasket is listed at stock dimensions. Unless you are having the head milled or material taken off the block due to warpage, you won't need a thicker head gasket. Also, stock sized bore applies, too. The oversized gasket is for those who have the engine bored over. Typically that is measured in .020, .040, ect. So just select the option for none, and that will be stock. Follow the advice above about the studs, as well. A stock rebuild will not need ARP head studs, but new ones are recommended.

I want to say the stock bore on the 420A is 87.5mm

I have 420A, my car is not from Europe it is imported from USA...and also I have two of them but one is my legal one(I mean that one of them is with licence from Macedonia, and one is still from Ilinois) ...

I want to keep everything stock on my Eclipse because I really love that car and it is my daily driver so I realy dont want to lay for half a day under her...

normally because I am in Europe and it is almost impossible to find some parts for my Mitsi , that's why I drive Vauxhal on boost...

I am honest and I will tell you that I am really jealous to you guys, I realy want I will proudly drive my Eclipse on boost If I have that conditions...
