420A need help 420A Head Gasket

I am rebuilding my first motor which happens to be a 96 420a ...I have read in a few different articles of people spraying the gasket with a copper sealant....My manual says nothing about this..Was just wondering if it is necessary to do that.....thanx for anyones point of view on this..

Ive never used sealant of any type on a head gasket. no sealant can withstand 150 psi.

The only sealant I have ever used was copper spray. Worked great on a 2JZ, so I am sure it would be fine on a 4G63. Only sprayed lightly.

he has a 420a engine.
