Issue : consistently blows 10A heater relay fuse as soon as you turn the ignition on. Blower Fan does NOT work in ANY position.

Action taken : bench tested blower motor and it works great

Checked voltage at 10A heater relay fuse terminals in fuse box.
With ignition in the on position 12 volts present at fuse terminals.

Pulled connectors from the back of the HVAC control panel and
found the #6 pin to be burned (circeld in black) and there's no
wire going to the # 1 pin (circled in red) The fan switch itself
was all burned and crumbled to pieces when I removed the
connector.

Questions :

Is there supposed to be a wire at the #1 terminal
(circled in red) ?

What may have caused this ?

What will fix it ?

Will replacing the fan switch correct the problem ?

Is there anything else I should check before replacing
the fan switch ?

The blower switch is most likely blown. I had the same issues, swapped the switch after replacing everything else, works fine.

You either need to replace the whole HVAC control unit, or take one apart at the junk yard and get the switch out. Its held in with a plastic nut on the inside of the HVAC unit.

Maybe this will help...
First, your pins are numbered the other way, right to left.(see diagram, that view of the plug is looking into the female connector). So, what you say is pin one is actually pin four. and it is NOT used. As for the burned pin, looks like it is the wire going to the blower motor relay. I would check the blower motor relay and then use a meter to check the other items in the circuit. (such as measuring the resistance of the Resistor (one lead on the blower motor, then measure the resistance on pins 3, 6 and 2 of that connector). Then pull the blower motor relay and measure the coil (pins 4 and 2). Compare that reading with another relay to see if it is good. Hope this helps...Good luck!

I appreciate the help and info very much ! I'll check it all out. What should the resistance of the resistor meausre ?

I checked everything out as jwprider said to with an ohm meter. Everything checks out good. I connected a jumper wire between the 1st and 3rd pin and the blower comes on and works. I'll have to replace the fan switch and the blower motor resistor. Which leads me to my next problem. The a/c doesn't work :toobad: I appreciate everyone's help and advice.
