headlight adjustment

ok, my first stupid ? for my new 99 gsx. i read the manual and tried to adjust the head lights. bit nothing happens. my driver side headlight is high

There is a little round gear right on top of the headlight , turn that gear to adjust headlights. At night on a flat surface face the car into a wall with lights on and work from there.

i did that and nothing happened. the little gear turns the big gear. how much turninug does it take to move the beam and which direction is down

not sure which way is which but if i do like i said , do this at night facing a wall with lights on you will see the beam move. Then come back and let us know how you made out.

headlight bulb was not fully seated. once i figured that out, it worked like a charm.
