Hey guys/girls

i have a problem my friend gave me a pacesetter headers for my 97 eclipse gs, but problem is he gave me no down pipe with them, so my question is can they bolt up to the stock down pipe that i have on my car now or am i better off ordering a whole new header and down pipe?

thanks

We would need to see the exact model, but chances are, if it's a two piece design, you'll need a new header.

Like stated above, would need to see the header before making a definite statement. However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say no it won't bolt right up, but for a small outlay of cash and a trip to your local muffler shop you could probably have your stock downpipe modified to accept the header. Don't toss out that header yet.

Keith said the same thing I was thinking. AFAIK the Pacesetter is a 4-2-1 design, so the flange from the header to the dp will not match at all. But if you have a 4-1 design, you may be able to have a shop make you a simple dp or modify the stock on to work.
