Header Coating Question

Just starting to try and restore the 95 GSX, and one of the main problems I previously had was high engine temps. Now the SS DNP header I have I wouldn't say is heat wrap friendly so been wondering if sandblasting a SS header would work and if so once that was done and the Black Satin coating material air brushed on, I have a spare can of the DEI hi-temp silicone coating, would spraying some of that on the header either/and before/after curing would help to retain its properties and longevity?

Either way, I will most likely also like to do the turbo manifold and 02 housing for extra protection.
