Im really stumped. I routed it out with a coolant hose diagram and I think I have it figured out.

BUT.

Does anyone have a tutorial where they did a head swap and used the stock turbo?

I mean Im pretty sure I need the metal line from the 1g water pipe to the turbo? I messed around with a fitting kit on the turbo and mocked up rubber heater hose......but im not sure thats a good path.

PLEASE HELP

TIA

  • The big water pipe on the front of the motor (MUST be May/90- newer)
  • The complete water neck assembly on the side of the motor (MUST be May/90- newer)
  • The "u" shape water line that goes under the turbo (any year 90-94)
Taken from http://www.roadraceengineering.com/1g2gheadswaptechtip.htm

But you can always custom fab coolant lines. I did on my most recent 6 bolt swap, using high pressure rubber fuel line from the 1G coolant tube to the turbo.
