:confused:i searched and didnt find anything. bought the car wouldnt start, thought it new gas new filter, still nothing. checked the compresiion not a pound. pop off the valve cover and flicked all the intake rockers arms off not even close to the cam. went to go the unbolt the head couldnt bug the bolts, hours later and a im pact rench got all but three. tried and tried but they end up rounding off. so i drilled them out but the head stll wont come off, i have a slight sepration but nothing much. any reason why it would be so stuck and how i could get this off

O__o You sure that thing wasn't tack welded and duct-taped on there?

Lmao

Do some Arm Pumps!!!

You can attempt using a prybar, but don't pry on the mating surfaces. Double check to ensure all bolts and accessories are loose or removed. Sometimes the composite head gasket makes the head difficult to remove.

Did you unbolt the Intake Mani from the Head? ... and did you remove the single bolt from the timing belt cover that bolts into the head?

It is going to be a pain in the ass considering you now have 3 extra dowels (the drilled head bolts) holding that thing in place.

if you have the manifolds off then take a strong chain and bolt it on to the studs on the ends of #1 and 4 cylinder on BOTH the exhaust and intake sides of the head, then go get a cherry picker and start jackin it up while hitting the head with a rubber mallet in an upward direction. that should get it off

I'd go the rubber mallet route... beat it senseless. I mean there's nothing that could be holding it there but the gasket and dowel pins.

thanks for all the ideas, tried the rubber mallet it just tickled it a little so i got out a a sludge hammer ### i have a second head. still didnt budge. so i took a come along tied it around a massive steel beam pick the nose of the car up, the air chiseled the head from the side and top so i could see the bolt the the side of the head and got 2 5 foot bars and just hung on the will someone used a hammer and punch on the bolts ;) she poped then haha but thanks for the help next step is the dowels left
