block stuck to tranny

hello, guy is putting my stage 1 sbr block in my 91 tsi awd, and is having a problem seperating the stock block from the tranny, anyone have this problem, and/or know how to deal with it? thanks

Not to be crass or anything but did you take the starter and transfer case off? If so make sure you have taken out all the bolts that hold the transmission to the block I don't remember how many there are check your service manual. If they are all out and the starter and transfer case are off it should come right off. If not find a piece of wodd and a big hammer and give it a few whacks.

There are four bolts tranny to block. You guys probably forgot the small one that's on the back and you can only reach from under the car.

There is a bolt that goest through the motor into the trans, you can only get it from under the car( and it's kinds a pain then) Good luck
