If the stock head bolts are stretched, and installed without knowing that they shouldn't have been installed, how fast would the stock head gasket blow? 3 days or so with some "racing" like driving involved? And would it overheat on the highway? Thanks for the help -Matt

There's really no way of knowing how soon the headgasket would blow from stretched bolts. Overheating can cause the headgasket to blow, and even warp the head. If you aren't sure if your gasket is blown do a compression test. If it is blown I would reccomrnd upgrading to arp head studs, a cometic gasket and make sure you get the head resurfaced.

Ok well what about a cylinder leakdown test? Would that be more accurate for what my problems may be? I have a whole story for this problem if you would like to know it also, just let me know, I will give it to ya. Thanks - Matt
