im about to put my 1g head back on and i was wondering if there is anything i need to put on the bolts like lube or something. I think i remember someone saying you did but i don't know what it is. Thanks

I just dip them in oil and then torque them down in small increments in the correct pattern for you head then after they are all torqued down I would wait about an hour then check to see if they need retorquing.

thanks, now i have another question. What do you guys use to tighten down the cam gears onto the cam? I know there is a special tool for it but i dont feel like buying one and the people at autozone say they have no idea what kind of tool it would be. Is there any special ghetto tool that i can use/make?

If you look on the cam there is a place where you can put a box wrench on it to hold it in place while you torque the cam bolts to spec, I believe it is a 17mm but don't hold me to that, no special tool required, as far as the guys at autozone, you have to remember that half the time they don't know a damn thing about cars. :thumb:
