Race cars are meant to be raced, and crashes do occur in racing.
After examining the pictures, it does not look like those tires started life as slicks. They look like normal street tires with the tread worn off, combined with wet conditions... not his fault... then who's was it?

Was this an scca event? I don't see any class markings on the S2000. Just looks like a track day car. I am very surprised that there is no roll cage in it also as SCCA requires a cage in all competition cars.
