Ok, im having a lot of trouble finding a 6bolt here in tampa, fl...well in florida in general. i`ve searched the classifieds here and also on dsmtalk.com and other online forums. But i searched on ebay and found a couple of n/t 6bolts and i understand that the pistons and cams are different....but are the heads different? and i`m sure i have to change the water pipe and all that (anything else i might have to change?) So what i`m asking is would it be cost efficient to swap out the n/t parts for turbo parts? this is my last resort pretty much.

swap in turbo rods, pistons, and cams. then im pretty sure it would be a turbo longblock.

Go for Elantra engine, they are 6 bolt

well, the old elantras have the 1.8, but 95 and up I think, but not sure its 4g63 6 bolt

yes, Im sure now it is 4g63 6 bolt engine

There isnt in any 6 bolts in the local junkyards??? The junkyards up here in the backwoods of west virginia are swamped with them.:talon:

There are none in the junkyard? NT long blocks lack oil squirters, have NT pistons, rods, and cams. That's all that I know of. What do you need a 6 bolt for anyways? Build the 7 bold right and save some of the 6 bolts for the cars that came with them. When I'm ready for a new engine I'm going to have to be posting questions asking about a 7 bolt swap : D

I know the potential of crank walk in every engine, but i like the power potential of a 6 bolt then the 7 bolt. Seems the parts for a 6 bolt are a little cheaper actually then a 7 bolt. Atleast to me it is LOL but can anyone tell me if there is a difference in oil pumps with the n/t and the turbo 6 bolts? i have a chance to buy a 6 bolt but its only the block and the rotating assembly....but i found a couple of n/t 6 bolts on ebay that are are a complete short block which is what i`m looking for.
