91 Talon. #1 spark plug (farthest on right, yes?) I have not heard this motor run yet. I am slowly resurrecting. Timing was visually lined up.
I have yet to drop pan and check bottom end nor have I really looked into cylinder to inspect walls/piston because of darkkness. I anticipate Ill be pulling the head tomorrow. What do you guys think?

Wow. That head is 'clean'? Looks like it sat for some years under the ocean.

Napa gold or WIX is the most popular but there are others out there. I use either OEM or Napa gold. Napa & WIX is same. Take the Napa filter number and put a 5 in front of it.

JNZtuning.

Look into deleting balance shafts and the oil filter housing porting following that.
Also port the oil galley which feeds the head:

Thanks for the suggestions. I will do those things.

The head is clean where it matters. He didn't strip the paint on the outside. Which I lived with bc dude wanted to charge for every little thing. I am going to tape up all the holes. clean it, and fresh high temp paint.

So would jnz be my best bet on getting everything at once?

I recommend a look at each of these links:

I've just grown accustomed to JNZ. Really helpful guys there, especially Paul. Excellent (usually best) prices and all that jazz. But it all comes down to double checking across each vendors website and balancing between shipping rates, customer service etc. Whatevers' important to you.

What I can recommend for 100% is to stay away from eBay for certain things like all timing components, generic gasket/seal sets, turbo stuff (IC piping is okay, along with exhaust pipe), NO exhaust manifolds etc. POSSIBLY pistons, valves and HLA's (hydraulic lash adjusters) -but only a specific brand, which I forget at the moment. PM (private message) a member by the name of BogusSVO or search the threads on that subject. The stock block is very strong, especially your Gen block (1Ga -AKA 6 bolt)
